Shmeat Success!

Shmeat Success!
April 29, 2016

Lecta (pictured) has much reason to rejoice! The protagonist of "Shmeat" (a wickedly funny short film I recently scored) is about to strut her stuff at the Cannes Film Festival, in the Short Film Corner. Further down the track, in April 2018, Shmeat will be given the "live cinema" treatment, it's projection accompanied by the 60-piece NZSM Symphony Orchestra. This is one of the perks of winning the Susan Rhind Award in Composition earlier this year. Hooray for generous patrons of the arts, and go Lecta! Details of the April performance in Wellington will follow later, as will the film's trailer. Shmeat is directed by the wonderfully talented Matasila Freshwater.
